Meet Will
Will Gregory was born in Stamford and raised in New Canaan, Connecticut. He attended public schools until high school and was actively involved from a young age in the local community. He received his Eagle Scout award at 14 years-old and quickly gained a reputation as a driven and purposeful local leader through service projects at a neighborhood nursery school, the First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan, and through his engagement in a wide range of community organizations.
After graduating from The Gunnery, a college preparatory school in Washington, Connecticut, Will attended Gettysburg College where he studied anthropology, sociology, and management. In his first two years at Gettysburg, he was elected and re-elected Class President and Class Senator. Over this period, he also founded the Leadership Council and was appointed to represent the student body on the Board of Trustees College Life Committee and the Academic Policy & Programming Committee.
In his third year as an undergraduate, Will attended Oxford University to study international relations. After returning for his final year at Gettysburg, he served as President of the leadership honor society, Omicron Delta Kappa, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude.
Continuing his studies, Will returned to Oxford University for graduate school, receiving a master’s degree in Global Governance & Diplomacy. At Oxford, he was an active member of the Oxford Union Society, his college’s rowing team, and the Oxford University Men’s Lacrosse team, which he helped lead to a national championship and for which he was selected to the English Universities All-Star team.
Over the course of his academic career, Will studied and/or conducted research on five continents, ranging from an archaeological research expedition in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia to anthropological case studies in East Africa. During this period, he also served as a Global Service Corps volunteer in Tanzania, where he taught sustainable agricultural techniques to local Maasai and Meru villages.
Upon his return to the United States, Will traveled to Washington to take a position in the War Room of the McCain Campaign -- his third presidential campaign. Here, he specialized in media analysis, media distribution, and rapid response.
Presently, Will serves as the Executive Director of The Mentis Foundation – an education-based non-profit organization that distributes scholarships to underprivileged youths with dyslexia and serves as a resource to the public regarding this learning disability.
Will is an adviser for CoreBrand, a brand identity and strategy consulting firm headquartered in New York.
